a)      On the site were three buildings

2)      Sibling coming to St. Paul?

a)      Students in Emory from 1st-8th grade went to Sand Flat School

b)      Only come to St. Paul for 9th – 12th grade

c)       St. Paul school closing

i)        Heard the news in spring 1965

ii)       Student didn’t know where/what would they decided

iii)     Heard that they would go to school in Commerce

3)       St. Paul school closing

i)        Rains HS in Emory not yet decided to accept us

ii)       Dad, who was the principal in 1st – 8th grade,

iii)     He tried to get admission for them to Miller Grove HS instead.

iv)     Later in Spring, Rains HS had decided to accept

v)      Just knew a little before graduation

4)      St. Paul graduation day

a)      The superintendent from Commerce came to the ceremony

b)      Some students didn’t sure where to go

5)      Service station

a)      About a mile from school on the highway

b)      Homemaking teacher took kids there for snacks

c)       Mr. Williams

i)        Shop teacher from Point

ii)       Dad’s best friend

iii)     Lend my cousin to drive his truck to the store for buying snacks

6)      Annual Fashion show

a)      Home making class

i)        in Fall, we did cooking

ii)       in Spring, we did sewing

7)      The Lee’s house

a)      Mr. Lee was her friend’s dad

8)      School Reunion

b)      She couldn’t attend in the past years because of schedule conflict

a)      Before --- “African American lived in the same community with the doctor, lawyer, teacher, bus driver, janitor; you all lived in the same community.”

b)      After --- “After desegregation the attorney, doctor they moved. So that is another book.”
