Team Archival Requests Note -- Everyone Read This!

Page history last edited by Kelly L Dent 12 years, 1 month ago

Team, we are fortunate to have a person on the team dedicated to parsing through archives for our various projects this semester. However, since Chad is being asked to pull things for at least five different people, to make his life and job easier, let's develop a system that will make everyone happier.

If you have an archival request for Chad, please create a page in his folder that includes the date in the title. For example, I created one titled "Kelly Feb 16, 2012". On that page, explain what you need pulled, where he can expect to find it, and any special requests.

For example, I've asked him to pull the Locust Yearbooks for the years 1966 through 1969, and the East Texan books for the same years. That way, Chad knows exactly what I need him to pull, and when and where I expect to locate it. This will eliminate any confusion/frustration on anyone's parts. If you have any special requests, such as a particular format, please note this on the request., because the Archives' files are normally enormous and unwieldy.

Additionally, since Chad is normally in the Special Collections on Fridays, from 9AM to 5PM, you should have your request in his folder no later than Thursday evening, if it is something he will need to digitize or have access to the Archives to complete.

Thanks,

Kelly
